It was a night to remember as Balaji Telefilms Ltd., hosted India's 1st Film & Television Awards "The Global Indian Film & Television Honours (Global Honours)- 2011". The night glittered at Yash Raj Studios as the biggest names in film and television sashayed down the red carpet for the biggest night of the year on the 12th Feb 2011.
Anchored by Sajid Khan, Mona Singh and Boman Irani who had the audiences in splits, the evening boasted of scintillating entertainment. The undisputed highlight of the event was the launch of Balaji Motion Pictures' sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai by Akshay Kumar. The superstar did a smashing act for the keenly awaited sequel, to be directed by Milan Luthria.
Kareena Kapoor who paid tribute to yesteryear's diva Sridevi, Prachi Desai notched up the glamour quotient with 'Pee Loon' and other hit numbers, while new kid on the block, Ranveer Singh performed with leading TV actresses Ankita Lokhande (Pavitra Rishta), Ragini (Sasural Gendha Phool) and Mahi Vij (Laagi Tujhse Lagan).The evening had several magic moments, the most memorable one being Shahrukh Khan's heartwarming one-to-one interaction with his leading ladies who were all seated in the audience -Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Sridevi, and Vidya Balan.
